I want Raki to be main hero, his character has potential xD
I want raki to die, no purpose in the story, other than for clare.
Seriously, though, the most interesting thing about this manga was that gender roles were almost entirely reversed. By far the strongest and most central characters to the story were overwhelmingly female. It's true that they were under the thumb of a very male, very chauvinistic organization for the majority of the series, but with the organization having pretty much just been overthrown and the claymores being truly free for the first time in their history I don't think it's time to make them all follow some guy around who's major claim to fame is being the former central character's pet.
I know Teresa set a precedent with Clare, but repeating that with Raki would be kinda lame. I'd much rather see him become a leader of the humans and organize them to support the claymores in their campaign across the sea or something like that.
As for Clare, if she does return I just want her to stop sulking all the time. I know the closest thing she had to a mother was beheaded right in front of her, which really sucks, but hopefully taking out Priscilla will take a weight off and allow her to lighten up. That was the best thing about Teresa: her intrinsic understanding of the situation she found herself in.
She recognized the motives of the ones who sold her to the organization, the Yoma she was tasked to kill, the villagers she saved...for a price they could barely afford, maybe even the organization itself, and she managed to find the humor in the inanity of it all. That's why I think she was always smiling. She knew the secret, and instead of rebelling against it like Miria, she just rolled with it...until Clare came along.
Hey, maybe that's why I find Clare so annoying. If it weren't for her, Teresa would still be alive, but, then again, I guess she would've never found a reason for living. She woulda just remained the broken, heartless tool she was before Clare made her whole again. I'm still trying to decide which fate would be better, which would be worse.
I'd say it's the part about becoming whole again. And finding a reason to go on living. I mean, would you rather your favorite character to not find a reason to live, and just go on living while thinking of dying (potentially)?
But yeah, the main reason Clare was always sulking and was pissed was because of Teresa's death and the fact that Priscilla, the one responsible, was still alive and well. So hopefully, once she returns to the story after having defeated Priscilla, she'll be happier and less sulky.
Hey guys an 8 page side story was released with Isley, Rigaldo, Dauf, and Riful. It's safe to say that that the organization abandoned males fairly quickly.
Wow, that's barely enough to whet the appetite. Now I ache for more than just a taste of the first days of the organization.
Chapter 126: If you want to wait for the translation don't click the spoilers
Miria, Helen, and Deneve rush the main hall and find it empty[/SP]
Miria searches the lower part of the hall and finds one of the creatures she mentioned in chapter 79[/SP]
I'll post more if no one objects.
second image promises some revelations
Rimuto shows up and they have 6 pages of dialogue[/SP]
Then she gets all slashy[/SP]
She destroys everything[/SP]
The chapter ends with Miria on a hill showing Rimuto's head[/SP]
when the translation is done we'll know more about what information that was reveled in those six pages. And what impact it could have on the story.
Well that's it for the organization, huh? Mission's complete, guess they can all go retire now and never use their powers again (so they stay human...ish).
Still, can't shake the feeling I'm forgetting something.
the mainland thing
I was actually referring to the fact that they still have to resolve the whole Clare/Priscilla blob thing.
Honestly, considering the Organization's side of the war needed their research to balance the scales, the dragon side should make short work of their enemies without the Claymores lifting a finger. Of course if the dragons decide after the war is over to expand into Claymore Island, then they'll have a problem.
If we won't ever get to the mainland, then what you say about the dragons deciding the war is over and coming to Claymore Island might actually happen. And yeah, I want Clare to hurry up and get out of that disgusting blob thing already. Hopefully after having won the battle.
And I'm looking forward to this chapter, mainly for the revelations in those six pages and also the conversation between Raki and Miria (and her "troops").
Norihiro Yagi is keeping the blob thing under the surface for so long, he better resolve it with a big bang. A SATISFACTORY big bang
Ah quit yer whining. I don't think I've read a single chapter that didn't leave me drooling for more. Yagi knows what he's doing.
@B-I: You really want the pivotal battle of the series, the one that the story's been building up to since Teresa's death to be handled off panel?
I don't care if it's 6 chapters long I wanna see Clare do things to Priscilla it'll give me nightmares. I want that b!>$# to feel pain in parts of her she didn't know she had and beg for the death she's dealt so readily in the past.
Unfortunately it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if somehow Raki got in the way and prevented Clare (or whoever) from dealing the finishing blow. He's just that kinda tool.
I'm not whining. I simply hope that he has something great behind his back. I hope he would surprise Claymore readers with something awesome. I SO agree that Claymore is great. Good story, progressively improving art. It's one of the finest manga I have in my hard drive.
All in all, I simply don't want to be dissapoint
No, I'm not saying I want it to be completely off-panel. Isn't there a chance Yagi might show us via a flashback what happened in the fight, if he does do it the way I suggested there?
Touche about Raki.
Agreed about everything else.
@Skycrapper: Agree with you latest post on here, too.
claymore - end?
What do you mean?
